Charity football match scores £400 for dementia carers
Sizewell A Site employee Will Bird kicked off his year of fund-raising efforts with a fantastic start, raising more than £400 for Halesworth dementia carers fund.
Will said: “I’d like to say a huge thank you for the brilliant support from all involved, including the supporters, players, and all the staff at the Sizewell sports and social club.”
Family and friends came up with the idea of playing matches throughout the year to make a difference in the community.
The next match will be on April 2nd in aid of the Pear Tree Fund, which offers information, advice and support to people with life-changing illnesses or long-term conditions, and their families and carers in East Suffolk and neighbouring parts of Mid Suffolk and South Norfolk.
